AstraZeneca Oncology is driven by the vision that for a patient with cancer, everyday matters. We aspire to redefine the cancer-treatment paradigm and have a broad pipeline of next-generation medicines that are focused principally on lung, breast, prostate, ovarian and haematological cancers. 

What you’ll do

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Brand Manager.  You will be responsible formarketing activities that include but are not limited to the co-development of the brand strategy with specific focus on market opportunity assessment, market research, insights and analytics assessment, brand positioning, messaging, and asset planning. You will needanalytical and business acumen skills, contribute to and presenting on performance.

You will provide input into cross-functional planning and programs by communicating brand strategy and identifying market opportunities and risks. You will be also working closely with the team with regards to the digital communications strategy across these portfolios. 

The role requires an ability to motivate, develop, and inspire employees, clearly communicating brand vision with passion and authenticity, and leading without authority across functional areas. Organising people, activities, communication and resources around a common goal and achieving business objectivesin a timely manner will be essential to this role. 

Essential for the role

  • Previous experience in a Pharmaceutical Brand Management. 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field 

  • Demonstrated customer-focus and ability to rapidly develop mutually beneficial relationships with key customers

  • Experience managing complex projects at the project management level

  • Strong financial acumen, with the ability to assess and drive results

  • Previous experience in performance reporting, including forecasting

  • Demonstrated ability to work successfully with cross-functional stakeholders


Desirable for the role

  • Oncology or haematology experience

  • Understanding of the development and commercialisation of pharmaceutical products in Australia 

  • Understanding of the Australian Healthcare environment
