Job Title: Lead Consultant - Scrum Master (Data Governance)

Introduction to role:
Join us at AstraZeneca in our IT department as a Scrum Master for our Data Discovery and Access team. This full-time Grade E role is based in our GITC site at Chennai. We are seeking a Scrum Master to own the hands-on day-to-day management of Agile delivery, ceremonies, and reporting. This role offers the opportunity to leverage technology to impact patients and ultimately save lives.

Accountabilities:
You will be responsible for providing Scrum leadership throughout our software development lifecycle, from the initial development of a technical design based on a blueprint, right through to hypercare. Your collaborative delivery approach will be key in our Scaled Agile environment with standard-length program increments (12-14 weeks). 

Essential Skills/Experience:
• Excellent Jira skills including the ability to rapidly generate JQL on-the-fly, and save JQL queries/filters/views/etc for publishing to fellow engineers & senior stakeholders.
• Fantastic written & spoken English, interpersonal skills, and a collaborative approach to delivery.
• An enthusiasm for great documentation; significant experience in documenting via Confluence.
• Exposure to Airfocus, Miro, Workboard a plus.
• Experience of Agile practices, preferably having been part of an Agile team for several years.
• Scrum master certification.


• Experience as a developer and/or tester and/or Business Analyst.
• Hands-on experience as a scrum master.
• Desire to understand the business requirements, team structure, ways of working and collaborate across the organization.
• Willingness to work in an agile and flexible environment.
• 10+ years of experience in the IT industry.
