About the team

AstraZeneca is passionate about advancing our Omnichannel capabilities by rolling out an enterprise Taxonomy to improve the quality of data we capture. In doing so, we promote a consistent data set to enable richer insights, increase data integrity, and progress AI initiatives to support valued experiences for our customers. Delivering such experiences requires a centralized repository and expertise in Taxonomy enablement. 

About The role

The Web Analytics Catalog Specialist is responsible for championing a metadata framework aimed at automated omnichannel orchestration and enriching datasets to deliver insightful data while providing operational efficiency. 

The successful candidate must be able to effectively partner with key members across various Global Commercial Operations teams, IT, Reporting/Analytics, and agency partners.  In particular, the Web Analytics Catalog Specialist will assist with the standard delivery of metadata, informing campaign activation and reporting. The Taxonomy & Tagging Specialist must be willing to immerse themselves in the details and be open-minded in listening to the views of their key stakeholders. 

The Web Analytics Catalog Specialistwill be accountable for:

  • Act as the foremost authority on Taxonomy, driving the optimization of a Taxonomy reinforcement tool pivotal for:
  • Cultivating and refining enterprise-wide Taxonomy for in-depth insights and streamlined campaign orchestration operations.
  • Advocating and enabling channel teams (email, social media, paid media, etc.) to seamlessly integrate and leverage taxonomy updates.
  • Conduct comprehensive user testing as the taxonomy tool capabilities evolve, ensuring seamless alignment with business needs.
  • Serve as the Point of Contact (POC) for the end-user community, ensuring that taxonomy development aligns with evolving business requirements.
  • Proactively gain insights into emerging campaign scenarios from end users and assess Taxonomy's adaptability to handle them.
  • Spearhead consensus-building efforts on taxonomy definitions while adhering to Governance framework, facilitating swift adoption.
  • Provide strategic recommendations for enhancing the tool and taxonomy, aligning with market trends and user needs.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes in response to evolving business requirements.
  • Develop and curate training materials, including guides and videos, to empower the end-user community. Align these resources with monthly IT releases, showcasing new functionalities and enhancements.
  • Offer expert guidance on tagging best practices to ensure precise and comprehensive data capture.
  • Establish and maintain comprehensive documentation to support taxonomy intricacies.
  • Continuously educate stakeholders, promoting and championing taxonomy processes, workflows, and implementation frameworks.
  • Facilitate dialogue within the Governance group to ensure seamless integration with downstream systems and channel teams.
  • Act as steward of the taxonomy and tool, providing hands-on support to global end users throughout the omnichannel data activation process and campaign data configuration.
  • Collaborate with Global Commercial IT (GCIT) and the Taxonomy Business Owner to assess, prioritize, and provide end-user feedback on new features and updates.
  • Uphold the omnichannel taxonomy standard (XLS), incorporating approved change requests and updates under the guidance of the Taxonomy Business Owner.
  • Address end-user inquiries related to tagged items, the taxonomy, and the tool, ensuring clarity and resolution.
  • Liaise with downstream system/channel teams to swiftly resolve user issues.

Requirements

Essential

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience supporting large organizations in a role associated with operations delivery.
  • An appreciation of the importance of taxonomy in ensuring high-quality data for reporting and data activation purposes.
  • Knowledge of technical dependencies and data integration requirements
  • Knowledge of Omnichannel enabling technology platforms and how they are leveraged to enable various aspects of a customer experience.
  • Experience with tools associated with customer journey orchestration, customer data platform, web analytics, and reporting. 
  • Experience in working with key stakeholders to understand the analytics objectives and to aid in the development of Tagging strategy for the web analytics tools (e.g., Adobe Analytics or Google Analytics) and best practices 
  • Considerable experience working among cross-functional teams driving towards a common objective
  • Ability to build positive relationships in teams spanning Data Strategy, Analytics, Operations, and Technology.
  • Ability to lead multiple projects running in parallel. 
  • Detail-oriented and strategic thinker able to connect-the-dots.
  • Experience recommending improvement of operational processes and/or efficiencies.
  • Ability to work independently and cross-functionally, think critically, and work in a rapidly evolving environment.
  • Ability to quickly learn new business environments, applications, technologies, and process.

Desirable

  • 5+ years’ experience serving in an operational function within a Healthcare/Pharmaceutical company.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience serving in operational functions within a Healthcare/Pharmaceutical company
  • Good understanding of the Tools and Technology that make up the Marketing Technology (Martech) Stack.
  • Hands-on experience working with efficiency tools including Jira and Smartsheets
  • Experience with Customer Data Platforms (Tealium AudienceStream/Salesforce or equivalent), Omnichannel Orchestration, Tagging Strategy, Tag Management Systems, and Veeva CRM
  • Subject matter expertise in multiple areas among the following: Campaign Management, Omnichannel Orchestration, Web Analytics, Tagging Strategy, Taxonomy application/Master Data Management
  • Exposure to Agile project management in sprint cycles
  • Highly organized, extremely detail-oriented, and able to multi-task in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Ability to work independently and cross-functionally, think critically, and work in a rapidly evolving environment.
  • Client-facing and strong communication skills are required to communicate complex topics clearly and straightforwardly.
  • Ability to quickly learn new business environments, applications, technologies, and processes.
