What you’ll do
Job Description
Responsible for performing a variety of secretarial, administrative and project-oriented activities in support of the BBU International team, contributing to the overall implementation of International BBU strategic goals, tracking the execution of different tactic within the planned timelines. This position will provide coordination for key initiatives; conduct ad-hoc analyses on initiatives to proactively escalate issues, propose solutions and modify approaches; maintaining a continuous line of communication and close collaboration with the respective BBU commercial team members.
Accountable to identify priorities and opportunities to improve execution, including budget management; partnering with the respective teams to provide high-level coordination to ensure prioritized initiatives are implemented and the outcomes measured that result in maximum market impact.
This position will be responsible for contributing to drive execution, supporting the team to successfully achieve individual and organizational objectives.
Typical Accountabilities
- Provides administrative or secretarial services to the BBU International team, coordinating complex meetings and off-site events, diary arrangements and travel in line with AZ policy
- Co-ordinates, collates and communicates information at the detailed level, possibly of a technical or statistical nature
- Ensures the production of reports or analyses, to meet quality standards, and provides interpretation of data
- Reconciles figures or information from various sources, ensuring completeness and accuracy, and follow-up on discrepancies
- Carries out calculations, analyses or investigations to defined briefs to support the smooth functioning of the business area
- Resolves complex queries and issues to meet business requirements
- Participates in establishing an understanding of team requirements to ensure that planned activities and services meet needs, and in monitoring those services and activities to ensure requirements are fully met
- Prioritises workload, and that of others as appropriate, to achieve personal and work unit targets
- Organises, controls and delivers specific administrative activities and services under guidance from line manager
- Leads and motivates any assigned staff within defined parameters, ensuring they deliver their responsibilities effectively
Education, Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Essential
- Advanced level of written and spoken English
- Prior Administrative experience
- Ability to follow processes
- University/College degree or equivalent education in life science/healthcare or equivalent
- Excellent organizational skills, inter-personal and communication (written, spoken) skills
- Understanding of performance metrics and their relevance in the pharmaceutical industry
- Knowledge of medical information/technology systems
- Strong drive for performance, entrepreneurship approach
- High sense of urgency.
Desirable
- Relevant vocational qualifications or equivalent experience
- Broad industry oversight, understanding of key markets
- Previous above country experience and personal skills that allow one to be rapidly operational in the role (e.g., open-minded, creative highly dynamic and energetic)
- Experience of being able to challenge, influence, contract and drive change across different countries or functions
- Ability to operate in multi-cultural environment and influence through positive engagement
