Job Title: Executive Assistant
Hybrid role
Embark on an exciting career as the Executive Assistant to the President at AstraZeneca Canada, and the Head of CVRM, V&I Business Units and Patient Center of Excellence. In this pivotal role, you will play a key part in assessing complex, ambiguous, and high-impact challenges, and recommending solutions that support decision making within operational guidelines. This position offers a unique opportunity to thrive in a dynamic environment, where achieving and maintaining the highest standards of accuracy, efficiency, and presentation are achieved.
Accountabilities:
As an Executive Assistant, you will manage appointments and schedules, make complex global travel arrangements, and coordinate internal and external meetings/conferences. You will also support confidential business projects, and work with peers across AstraZeneca to set standards and drive continuous improvement. You will also facilitate internal communications between executives, managers, and employees; and between the executive and external parties. This role also involves managing Cost Center budget targets by accurately processing expenses and creating vendors and purchase orders as required. In this role supporting two executives, you will uphold these accountabilities for both the Country President as well as the Head of CVRM, V&I Business Units and Patient Center of Excellence.
Essential Skills/Experience:
- Proven experience, at least 5-7 years’ experience as a Senior PA/ Executive Assistant supporting Directors, VPs, or C‐suite individuals in a complex, international organization
- Self-motivated, demonstrates a “can do” approach, and able to prioritize to drive projects through to completion
- Excellent administrative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment whilst proactively, efficiently and accurately managing a demanding workload
- Exceptional planning and organizing skills
- Impeccable attention to detail and accuracy in setting calendar and travel plans, hosting guests etc.
- Strong financial acumen and ability to work in Excel and key financial systems i.e. Coupa, SAP
- Ability to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner
- Collaborative, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Confident communicating at all levels internally and externally whilst exercising discretion, tact and diplomacy
- Bilingual (English/French) would be an asset
