COM Business Analytics Intern

Training through practical experience: 

As a university intern reporting to the Studies and Operations Manager, you will gain hands-on experience in leveraging analytics to support the Country Operations Management (COM) department. You will assist in various tasks related to data analysis, insights development, and project support. This role is designed to provide you with exposure to real-world business challenges and the opportunity to develop your skills in data analytics, business intelligence, and project management within an industry leader pharmaceutical company.

As part of the internship you will be involved in initiatives and projects like the following ones:

• Support the design and development of data flows to collate information from multiple sources, delivering insights through visualization.

• Assist in the creation and maintenance of Power BI dashboards to monitor business performance and KPIs.

• Help with data extraction and preparation to ensure data is ready for analysis and reporting purposes.

• Collaborate in data quality and data stewardship functions to maintain data accuracy and identify new metrics under manager’s guidance.

• Training in topics like data visualization, data scienceor machine learning and tools like PowerBI, Smartsheet or Microsoft Power Apps.

• When appropriate, participate in the analysis of data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for business improvement.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a graduate/undergraduate degree in Analytics, Engineering, Business Intelligence, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Operations, or a related area.

• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Power BI or similar data visualization software (e.g., Tableau, Qlik, Spotfire).

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

• Strong interest in data analytics, business analysis, and data visualization.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and a creative, innovative mindset.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to present data-driven insights effectively.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Graduate student.

• First experience in a corporate setting is greatly appreciated, preferably in an international environment.

• Knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Flow), Python/R.

• Experience with Smartsheet and intermediate knowledge of SQL.

• Team-building skills and intercultural awareness.
