You will work within the GBS Project Services team to define and deliver the service quality, whilst also working with the business as a project thought leader, responding to their demand for project support. With a strong understanding of change management and excellent communication skills, you will work effectively with stakeholders to deliver business outcomes.

Assignment Specifics:

This role is part of the US Oncology Business Unit and is dedicated to ensuring orchestration of multiple Agile teams towards coordinated delivery for all products in a specific category of our US OBU Service Catalogue including products such as Data Management, Analytical, and Omnichannel.

Typical Accountabilities

  • As an Agile Delivery Manager, you will guide and support an agile release train (ART) across many scrum teams that support the assigned workstream. Collaborate closely with Product Owners & Leads, Program Managers, Agile team leads, and stakeholders to prioritize and manage the product backlog.

  • This role will work under the direction of the Agile Transformation Lead, to help establish and implement systems and processes that will drive consistency, ways of working, seamless execution of product innovation and delivery.

  • You will lead and facilitate team level ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives) that support the delivery of epics. Your core responsibilities will be enabling teams as a true servant leader to ensure that goals are met by the teams and the ART. 

  • You will improve ART performance by identifying resolution of program impediments and being a change agent with continuous improvement.

  • Work cross functionally within the US Oncology Business to coordinate across all projects and franchise requests efficiently triage and assure defining Agile/Jira processes (scheduling, Kanban board, etc).

  • Responsible for integrating strategic and tactical input from diverse internal partners as applicable to the product

  • Mentor and coach team members on Agile principles and practices, leveraging deep insights gained from prior experiences.  Champion innovation and best practices within the team.

  • Foster a culture of trust, transparency, and accountability.

  • Utilize Agile metrics and tools to track and report on team progress; derive actionable insights and drive continuous improvement.

  • Act to optimize and manage internal stakeholder relationships, provide guidance and support to the internal functions and product leads, while empowering them to take ownership of their work and achieve their goals.

  • Additional accountabilities:

    • Deliver excellent customer service, effective communication, professionalism, and a commitment to exceeding expectations.

    • Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices and emerging technologies to bring value to internal customers.

    • Provide coaching and mentoring to other team members.

Education, Qualifications, Skills and Experience

Essential

  • Proven ability to lead Scrum teams for complex deliveries.

  • Facilitation of all the team's meetings and ceremonies using SAFe Framework.

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and a self-starter.

  • Removes roadblocks, many of which will be beyond the team's authority or will require support from other teams.

  • Continuous improvement mindset and highlights opportunities to improve efficiency of scrum teams.

  • Ability to coaches and mentor the team on agile ways of working.

  • Management of dependencies internal and external to scrum team.

  • Raises risks and blockers when necessary to appropriate team members / leadership.

  • Experience working closely with Business stakeholders (Product Owner) to understand and align on backlog priorities.

  • Experience with calculating team capacity, analyzing and adjusting learnings from previous sprints.

  • Experience managing more than one scrum team (2 or more)

  • Extensive understanding of agile methodology, techniques, frameworks (SAFe, Scrum, or Kanban) and agile tools (Jira and Confluence).

  • Proficiency in Jira and Confluence with the ability to customize workflows and drive tool adoption.

  • Participated in a PI event.

  • Advanced certifications such as Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), or SAFe Program Consultant (SPC).

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience as a Scrum Master in Agile teams preferably in a regulated industries and highly matrixed organizations such as Pharma, with a proven track record of success.

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience as a Project/Program manager in a Non-Agile environment.  Comfort delivering through an Agile transformation.

  • In-depth knowledge of Agile methodologies and frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, etc.), with a demonstrated ability to tailor and apply them effectively in various contexts.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes of issues and implement effective solutions.

  • Proven ability to develop and scale Agile practices for large organizations, including experience with frameworks such as Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), Large Scale Scrum (LeSS), or Disciplined Agile (DA).

  • Bachelor’s degree

Desirable

  • Project Management Certification

  • Management Consulting experience

  • Experience working with distributed or remote teams across different time zones and cultural backgrounds.

  • Deep understanding of Agile engineering practices such as Test-Driven Development (TDD), Continuous Integration (CI), and Continuous Deployment (CD).

  • Experience in a sales and marketing pharma/Medtech/Biopharma commercial environment

  • Knowledge of data stack and martech.

  • Data and analytics business acumen
