To support the continued expansion of the GBS Process Insights & Automation, we are now looking for a Senior Manager - Intelligent Automation to provide oversight of the generation, prioritisation, planning, and delivery of an innovative pipeline of automation opportunities. The role holder should have a strong desire to gain exposure to innovative automation techniques, experience in team management/process change, coupled with core skills in collaborator & organizational change. This experience will be combined with a strong analytical demeanor and an ability to communicate simply, with precision and impact across our collaborators.
Accountabilities
Reporting to the Process Insights & Automation Lead, the role will be responsible for the following activities:
- Oversight over backlog of automation implementation projects; liaising closely with IT over supply & demand; oversight over execution
- Supporting business analysts by advising on automation requirements/capabilities; identification of key gaps, improvement areas, prioritization and acting as a customer concern point
- Working closely with business analysts, IT & solution engineers to supervise the development of automations, including:
- Assessment of automation scope / selection of right technology;
- Advising/challenging on Solution Architecture;
- Identification and supporting of key solution dependencies;
- Collaboration with IT on assignment of development resources;
- Quality Assurance and overseeing of project pipeline;
- Management of pipeline demand, successful implementations and the resolution of open risks/issues;
- Supervising adherence with SLAs, timelines and standardised approach
- Collaborating with the Process Insights & Automation team and members of the IT Delivery team to embed new agile ways of working and continuous improvement initiatives
- Collaborating with IT on identification of new technologies / tools that can be applied to the Intelligent Automation space.
Essential Skills/Experience
- RPA, Gen AI/Agentic AI and/or other strong automation implementation experience – e.g. BPM / workflow tools
- At least 3 years of experience in management and/or delivery of sophisticated multi-function automation solutions and/or development
- Awareness of modern Intelligent Automation/Agentic AI technologies with ability to advise on the latest trends
- Excellent collaborator management, influencing & presentation/oral communication skills
- Upbeat and self-motivated
- Strong analytical skills to be able to discover and interpret business change requirements
- Thrives in a fast-paced and evolving environment and is willing to adapt responsibilities to meet interpersonal strategic priorities
- Willingness to undertake some domestic/international travel (as the need arises)
Desirable Skills/Experience
- Experience and shown results of change projects within the Pharma industry
- Experience of working in Agile methodology
