What You’ll Do
As a key member of the Data Science & Patient Insights team, you’ll:
Collaborate Across Functions
Work closely with colleagues in Commercial, Medical, Market Access, IT, Compliance, and external vendors to support ethical, secure, and impactful use of patient data.
Turn Data Into Actionable Insights
- Lead analytical projects using Patient Support Program (PSP) and real-world data to inform business decisions.
- Create engaging dashboards (e.g., Power BI) that highlight strategic opportunities.
- Translate complex analysis into clear, practical insights—while communicating transparently about limitations.
- Support real-world evidence study development.
Build & Shape Data Infrastructure
- Identify and manage high-quality patient data sources to support reporting needs.
- Clean, transform, and prepare datasets using tools such as R, Python, or similar.
- Monitor data quality and integrity, ensuring trustworthy outputs.
- Partner with IT to manage data solutions (e.g., AWS S3) across the patient data lifecycle.
Champion Data Governance
- Help establish clear standards for data usage, working in partnership with Privacy Legal/Compliance, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure data security, documentation, and compliance practices are well maintained and understood.
- Create and manage SOPs, data dictionaries, and best-practice guides.
Who You Are:
You’re a collaborative, analytical thinker who brings both technical expertise and a passion for improving patient outcomes. You understand the nuances of processing real-world data and the importance of using it responsibly to inform strategy and decision-making.
Your Background
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in data analytics, insights, or a related role—ideally within the pharmaceutical industry, life sciences, or consulting.
- BSc or MSc in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Computer Science, Epidemiology).
- Skilled in R, Python, similar tool and experienced in analyzing complex datasets.
- Experience with dashboarding software (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau)
- Experience working with healthcare or real-world data (e.g., EHRs, claims).
- Strong communicator who can engage diverse stakeholders with clarity and empathy.
- Able to adapt in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
Bonus Experience
- Exposure to epidemiological study methods or real-world evidence generation.
- Familiarity with Patient Support Programs and privacy regulations (e.g., PIPEDA, PHIPA).
- Experience with machine learning or predictive analytics
