Learning & Capability Development Manager - Oncology

Our Position
The Learning & Capability Development team is a group of learning and performance experts focused on enhancing and empowering field force excellence in Oncology. We assess, design, and partner on initiatives to optimize field force operations, capabilities, and performance. Our ambition is to actively develop the performance and potential of ourselves and others. We believe in optimizing learning opportunities beyond the traditional workshop format and strive to integrate a micro-learning approach that will enable our sales force to learn in the flow of work. The Learning & Capability Development Team leads the development of enterprise-wide capabilities in addition to tumour area and brand-specific learning initiatives. We partner across the organization to build capabilities in the areas of scientific knowledge, selling skills, customer engagement, and performance coaching to support the launch of new products and ensure continued success throughout the product’s life cycle. The Learning & Capability Development Manager will work with cross-functional brand teams to optimize field force performance and drive desired business results for the brands.
Accountabilities
- Drive the Learning & Capability Development Strategy within your brand teams and project assignments to meet the overarching departmental vision.
- Implement the Performance Partner Framework methodology which integrates the key tasks, thinking, and roles required to achieve success in capability development at AZC.
- Be a performance partner to the brand team; inform strategic and tactical brand planning; translate the business strategy into performance requirements for the field force.
- Uncover and assess; seek performance improvement opportunities; be proactive, inquisitive, and collaborative.
- Design and develop; explore and develop solutions with impact; challenge, inspire and collaborate.
- Implement and evaluate; execute and measure development solutions; execute with excellence.
- Sustain and learn: sustain development gains & learn for continuous improvement; extend, embed, and improve.
- Enable new Oncology Sales Representatives to reach their full performance potential and provide a great customer experience by helping them acquire the foundational therapeutic knowledge, selling skills, and capabilities to use internal sales tools and systems.
- Utilize emerging technologies and experiment with new learning methodologies.
- Demonstrate an entrepreneurial mindset by leveraging in-house resources and managing third-party suppliers as appropriate.
- Model AZ values and behaviors consistent with organizational culture.

Desirable Skills/Experience
• Bachelor's degree
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales or healthcare role
• Knowledge of learning concepts and facilitation skills are strong assets
• Experience in Oncology and new product launches are strong assets
• Bilingualism is preferred
• Some travel is required
