Associate Director, Global Oncology Publications

The Associate Director is responsible for the development of aspects of an integrated and strategic Global Publication Plan, in collaboration with the Global Publications Director and under the supervision of the Global Publications Senior Director. They will have accountability for the delivery of the agreed medical, scientific, and technical publications.
This role is 60% in office in Gaithersburg, MD.
What you'll do:
Lead the development of specific elements of the publication strategy and tactical plan for Oncology global clinical studies in humans from Phase Ib-IV, and non-clinical trial sources including health economics and outcomes research, epidemiology, real-world evidence (RWE), payer, and non-interventional studies.
Act either as a technical expert or supervisor in supporting the delivery of publication tactics
Project management of publications activities/deliverables within the function, across Medical Affairs, and where required this may be aligned to a specific tumor plan or across multiple indications
Accountable for managing external agency partners in the delivery of defined publications activity, ensuring quality and delivery standards are adhered to
Keep own knowledge of best practices and new relevant developments up to date
Required for the role:
Bachelor’s degree in a Scientific of Medical field
At least 1 year experience with publications in a pharmaceutical/biotech setting, and/or with a medical communications agency
Knowledge of applicable industry guidelines and standards
Be independent, organized, and able to act as a leader in a fast-paced environment
Communicate with collaborators regarding the planning and development of publication deliverables
Promote and adhere to company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards in all publications
Strong project management skills and ability to collaborate with agency partners
Nice to have:
Therapeutic knowledge in oncology
Advanced degree in a scientific or medical field (eg PharmD, PhD, MD)
Knowledge of publication management systems
Certification as a Medical Publication Professional (CMPP) desired

The annual base pay for this position ranges from $138,296 to $207,444 . Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity and eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program. Benefits offered include a qualified retirement program [401(k) plan]; paid vacation and holidays; paid leaves; and, health benefits including medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans.
