Director, Patient Service IT Product Management

Introduction to the Role:

As the Director, Patient Service IT Product Management, you will be a driving force in crafting the digital transformation of patient services at Alexion, championing advanced AI-powered capabilities and product-centric innovation to deliver outstanding patient experiences at every digital touchpoint. Positioned at the intersection of technology, business, and patient engagement, you will envision, launch, and continually refine a coordinated suite of digital products - including mobile apps, online platforms, and omnichannel engagement tools. Your leadership will ensure measurable value creation, demonstrating AI and data-driven insights to continuously enhance patient satisfaction, personalization, and outcomes at scale.

Accountabilities:

  • Product and Strategy Leadership: Define a compelling product vision and strategic roadmap passionate about outstanding digital patient experiences. Leverage AI augmentation to compose seamless, intelligent, and personalized interactions across mobile, web, and omnichannel platforms.

  • AI and Digital Transformation: Integrate advanced AI technologies and data analytics into patient service products to anticipate patient needs, personalize engagement, and drive continuous improvement. Ensure that all solutions are designed to deliver value through automation, personalization, and scalable insights.

  • Lifecycle and Value Creation: Lead full product lifecycle management - ideation, agile development, launch, and iterative enhancement - to deliver enduring products that drive loyalty and measurable business outcomes. Champion a shift from project-based execution to sustainable product delivery, improving digital value realization.

  • Collaboration and Customer Engagement: Orchestrate cross-functional delivery, working collaboratively with technical, business, design teams, and external partners to develop integrated, innovative digital health solutions.

  • Patient-Centric Excellence and Innovation: Embed patient experience guidelines into the product suite, emphasizing intuitive design, accessibility, and proactive measurement of satisfaction and outcomes. Harness real-time feedback, usage data, and AI-driven analytics to find opportunities for enhanced personalization and engagement.

  • Performance Analytics and Outcomes:Establish and report on goals and achievements to track product performance, usage, experience scores, and value creation. Use advanced analytics and AI-driven insights to continually optimize digital journeys and product features.

  • Global Best Practices and Compliance: Stay abreast of global digital health trends, regulatory standards, and emerging AI technologies to ensure ongoing relevance, compliance, and competitiveness across the product portfolio.

  • Change Enablement and Adoption: Drive organizational and user adoption through complete change management strategies, AI-powered training programs, support systems, and engagement initiatives that ensure ongoing product utilization and impact.

  • Mentorship and Team Leadership: Encourage and guide multidisciplinary teams (without direct reports) in a culture of growth, experimentation, and innovation, enabling delivery of scalable digital solutions that delight patients.

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • Bachelors Degree

  • Minimum 10+ years of experience

  • Extensive leadership experience in digital product management, with a clear focus on patient experience, with digital products such as mobile apps, online platforms, and/or omnichannel engagement tools.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and launch products that deliver outstandingexperiences and measurable business results.

  • Proven ability to drive and embed patient-centric design and agile delivery frameworks within cross-functional teams.

  • Outstanding collaboration, communication, and customer management abilities.

Desirable Skills/Experience:

  • Prior experience within the pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare technology industries.

  • Familiarity with regulatory standards in digital health.

  • Proficiency in digital health, data analytics, and IT transformation.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $117,294.40 - $175,941.60. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (salaried roles), to receive a retirement contribution (hourly roles), and commission payment eligibility (sales roles). Benefits offered included a qualified retirement program [401(k) plan]; paid vacation and holidays; paid leaves; and, health benefits including medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
