Marketing Automation Intern
We are looking for a curious, proactive, and eager-to-learn Marketing Automation and Orchiestration Platform Intern to join the Rare Disease Unit (RDU) IT team at AstraZeneca.

The Marketing Automation Internship offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience with leading IT and marketing platforms, contribute to operational efficiency, and develop highly transferable skills in a dynamic, innovative environment.
This is what you will do:
You will be part of a passionate, collaborative team focused on managing and optimizing our Marketing Automation and Orchestration Platform. In this role, you will gain end to end understanding of support with the use of most popular technologies such as Jira: Agile project management, ServiceNow: IT service workflows, Zaidyn Orchestration Engine:
Data-driven workflow automation, SFMC: Marketing campaign automation to improve automation driven marketing support.
You will be responsible for:
Learn by doing: Gain hands-on experience by contributing to real-world projects with modern data and automation tools.
Understand the big picture: Connect documentation, automation, and data management across platforms to drive team success.
Think like a builder: Design and refine efficient data pipelines and workflows using key automation tools.
Take initiative: Proactively improve processes, support UAT, and empower team efficiency.
Stay curious and adaptable: Explore new AI features and embrace evolving team needs and technologies.
Collaborate across the team: Share knowledge and work with diverse stakeholders to deliver business-driven data solutions.
You will need to have:
Possibility to sign an internship agreement with your University.
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Economics, or a related field. Data management, with a strong understanding of database management concepts and best practices.
Eagerness to learn: You are curious and motivated to dive into unfamiliar technologies, processes, and best practices, and apply them in your daily work.
Data driven mindset : Use the data to drive optmisation.
Strong behavioral fit: You have the attitude to excel, and you are eager to grow by embracing new challenges and stepping outside your comfort zone.
You have the following technical basics, but most important, you are excited to keep learning, write cleaner code, and adopt best practices:
You have basic knowledge of Marketing Automation tools and possibilities enabled by those platforms.
Intermediate skills in Excel and report building are valued and will be an asset in this role.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools like JIRA and Service Now.
Proactivity: You take ownership, seek opportunities to add value, and go beyond expectations with a critical and constructive mindset.
Adaptability: You stay comfortable navigating changing priorities, tools, and ways of working.
Problem-solving mindset: You know how to troubleshoot and are not afraid to ask for help when needed.

We would prefer for you to have:
Basic understanding of agile methodology and exposure to project management
Understanding of marketing automation, Omnichannel strategy and understanding of marketing channels are required
Comfortable creating reporting and identifying learnings from the metrics
Comfortable working in international, cross-functional environments.
Ability to connect technical solutions to real business value.
