Global Marketing Lead
As a critical member of the global marketing team, you will work on the design, implementation, and evaluation of marketing activities for assigned products, ensuring innovative solutions across distribution channels, including digital, social media, and inside sales. You will work closely with the countries to ensure readiness for launch for pipeline indications & also support in-line teams, as needed.
Core Responsibilities
As a key member of the IgAN launch team, your role will encompass marketing strategy and execution:
· Support the development of strategic and tactical plans, providing marketing leadership and fostering innovation.
· Drive the evolution of global brand assets, including the identification, testing, and validation of creative concepts, messaging architecture, and creation of launch materials, sales support tools, and educational aids.
· Partner with local and regional teams to provide strategic market and product positioning guidance, aiding in local adaptation and execution of brand and disease area strategies.
· Gather insights from markets, working with commercial leads, to understand launch needs and pull through into global strategies and tactical plans
· Collaborate with regional markets to execute against key priorities, enhancing business performance while aligning campaigns to global core messages.
· Execute specific insight projects to support brand strategy development, including Awareness Trial and Usage (ATU) studies.
· Evaluate market trends, financial analysis, and changing customer habits to guide downstream execution of revenue and margin expansion initiatives.
· Lead the refinement of global commercial strategies based on patient journeys and competitive analysis.
· Coordinate strategic initiatives and sub-teams to deliver key business objectives, monitoring global progress against indicators.
· Engage with therapeutic area teams and R&D on clinical progress, capturing customer habits and trends to shape long-term planning forecasts.
Your role demands strategic thinking, operational excellence, and strong collaborative skills across global functions, ensuring successful launch outcomes.
The position involves up to 15% business travel internationally and office presence minimum 3 days a week aligned with AZ policies.
You will need to have:
· Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or business area.
· Excellent English communication both written and spoken
· Minimum 5 years of industry experience across sales, marketing, consulting, analytics, medical, or other commercial functions. Experience of supporting/driving complex projects through successful partnerships.
· In-line marketing experience. Launch experience preferred, ideally in a competitive disease area.
· Both in countries and above countries/Global experience
· Excellent strategic thinking and operational execution capability
· Demonstrated ability to thrive in a cross-functional, highly collaborative, and fast-paced environment.
· Customer focused, displayed by the ability to engage actively with the diverse needs of internal stakeholders, adaptable and flexible approach to meeting business needs
· Naturally connects and builds strong relationships with others, demonstrating emotional intelligence and an ability to communicate clearly and persuasively
· Experience in orphan drugs/rare disease
· Office attendance required
We would prefer for you to have:
· MBA/PhD degree
· Consultancy experience
