【Alexion Japan】Senior Manager, Omnichannel Orchestration & Delivery
This is what you will do:
This role is accountable for the technical leadership in proposing architecture and design and hands‑onorchestration, for the omnichannel ecosystem in Alexion Japan, with final approvals governed by senior architects and/or the architecture governance board.
Partnering with Business, Medical, Compliance, and Global IT, the role ensures business use cases are translated into scalable, secure, and compliant technology solutions across CRM, CDP, CMS, Marketing Automation, Web, and data platforms.
The role prioritizes adoption and optimal utilization of global platforms and standards, ensuring local needs are addressed through configuration and governed extension rather than isolated local solutions.
The position includes architecture proposal and design leadership, architecture alignment checks within the assigned domain, recommended integration patterns, and collaboration with operations to support change and incident management enabling reliable execution of data-driven engagement while maintaining enterprise standards and long-term maintainability.
You will be responsible for:
Omnichannel Architecture & Governance
- Lead proposal and design for the end-to-end omnichannel architecture across CRM, CDP, CMS, Web, Marketing Automation, and data platforms, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards, security requirements, and global solutions, focusing on adherence within the assigned domain and supporting the application of defined standards and patterns.
Technology Decision & Solution Design
- Hold primary responsibility for architecture proposals and design reviews for technology direction, solution design, integration patterns, and configuration approaches supporting approved business use cases, with final approvals by senior architects and/or the architecture governance board.
Orchestration & Delivery Execution
- Lead and contribute hands-on to technical orchestration and implementation of cross-channel engagement capabilities, ensuring scalable and compliant execution, in line with defined reference architectures and approved patterns.
Data & Integration Management
- Lead design and implementation proposals for customer data flow implementation, identity and consent enforcement, tagging standards, and reliability of cross-platform integrations, and support quality/reliability by coordinating with data and operations teams.
Platform Operations & Reliability
- Collaborate with the platform operations team to support change control, incident resolution, monitoring, and operational sustainability from a design/architecture perspective, rather than owning end‑to‑end operational
Global Alignment & Platform Adoption
- Prioritize adoption of global platforms and reusable capabilities, aligning local initiatives with enterprise architecture and roadmap direction, and support governance by preparing design options and impact assessments for approval.
Vendor & Delivery Governance
- Act as the primary technical reviewer and design acceptance lead for system integrators and technical vendors to ensure delivery quality and architectural compliance, while commercial/contractual and overall governance remains with senior leadership.
Business Partnership & Feasibility Guidance
- Partner with business stakeholders to assess feasibility, provide technical recommendations, and translate approved requirements into maintainable solutions, submitting designs and exceptions for review/approval to the relevant governance bodies.
You will need to have:
Technical & Architecture Expertise
- Experience across omnichannel platforms (CRM, CDP, CMS, Marketing Automation, Web, analytics)
- Hands-on experience designing integrations and data flows across customer platforms
- Understanding of identity, consent, tagging, and personalization execution architecture
Delivery & Operations
- Ownership of system implementation design leadership and delivery in complex environments
- Experience with release, incident, and service reliability management
- Ability to evaluate feasibility and solution trade-offs
Data & Integration
- Experience implementing event tracking, customer data activation, and integrations
- Understanding of data governance and data quality controls
Regulatory Environment
- Experience delivering systems in regulated environments (privacy, audit, compliance)
Leadership & Collaboration
- Experience working with business stakeholders in a matrix organization
- Ability to challenge requirements constructively and guide decisions
- Vendor and cross-functional team leadership experience, with emphasis on technical review and design acceptance
We would prefer for you to have:
- Experience in healthcare / life sciences digital ecosystems
- Experience with global platform alignment in regional markets
- Experience implementing personalization or CDP-driven activation
- Experience stabilizing fragmented marketing technology landscapes
- Familiarity with AI-driven engagement execution platforms
