【Alexion Japan】Associate Director, Supply Chain Japan

This is what you will do:

This is a key position within Global Supply Chain team in Alexion. The key activities of the role are to work side by side with and under the guidance of the Supply Chain Director in Japan, work out for strategy and various business initiatives and projects. This role will have direct responsibility for all customer order, product distribution and logistics, and procurement activities, including 3 P/L and CMO management for Japan.

This role involves responsibilities to execute professional activities under clear strategy and the necessary collaboration for the entire team to be successful. It is also require to facilitate establish strong relationships and collaborate with all key stakeholders across the Alexion global network.

You will be responsible for:

• Manage customer order and product distribution in collaboration with 3 P/L partner and a Wholesaler, including followings :

・Patient Code Management and Ship-to Customer Code Management in SAP

• Sales, Delivery and Invoice Data Management in SAP
• Management of Order Processing system (EDI and Manual) between 

Alexion Japan and a Wholesaler

• Ensure inventory management at warehouse and incoming product supply from CMO as well as from overseas site, to warehouse, with collaboration with respective partners and global supply chaing team, including monthly inventory reporting
• Manage product logistics, including shipping and Importation management (from Alexion International to Alexion Japan)
• Manage product procurement, including CMO Management in Japan.
• Support to and collarorate with NPI (New Product Introduction) team, as well as CMO, to prepare and ensure new product launch in a timely manner.
• Manage x-functional process of Packaging Material  (Artworks) and material procurement from verndors.
• GS1 Product Codes Management
• Effectively and efficiently manage project items as assigned by Supply Chain Management Director Japan, and deliver on timelines and tasks as required and in accordance with project dates.
• Ensure the highest adherence to all compliance requirements within the function

・Data Privacy control – General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

・Financial control – Sarbanes Oxley

・Regulatory control – Controlled distribution

You will need to have:

• Previous Pharmaceutical Experience desirable, in Customer Operations and  Supply Chain
• Experience in customer operations and distribution, including cold chain distribution
• Experience in CMO management including management of packaging campaigns and artwork management.
• Capabilities in managing emergent, complex, logistical situations that may be life threatening for apatient.
• Ability to negotiate stake holders and to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Knowledge of SAP or other ERP system
• Excellent communication and relationship building skills
• Strong process improvement and project management skillset
• Ability to lead and take initiatives, and to drive change
• Strong computer literacy, with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power point)
• Strong presentation skills
• Fluency in English both written and oral

We would prefer for you to have:

• University Degree in Business Related or Supply Chain
