The Diagnostic Manager will leverage current diagnostic market and clinical test market experience that will make an impact within a large, global pharmaceutical company.
The DM ensures the timely, high quality in-market companion diagnostics / testing solutions to enable optimal treatment throughout the patient journey. An important element of this role is therefore to work collaboratively with the cross functional field teams and execute on tactical plans with an understanding of clinical operational issues on the testing pathway developing tailored testing solutions as needed.
Typical Accountabilities
- Identify and develop needs-based relationships with Pathologists and molecular pathologists, molecular diagnostics kit suppliers, scientific experts, laboratory decision makers, precision medicine leaders: Health Care Professionals (HCP), and scientific organizations
- Develop strategies and execution of tactical plans locally to support and educate on appropriate testing focus on mature indications demanding biomarkers.
- Share appropriate, approved, educational information on diagnostics to the heads of clinical Laboratories and their staff
- Deliver highly technical data presentations
- Educate on the need for diagnostic quality assurance (QA) programmes
- Identify barriers to diagnostics testing through partnerships with Diagnostic Testing labs, Diagnostics Kit companies, lab networks and HCPs.
- Help develop robust testing facilities in strategic centres, including protocol support, working on identification and removing bottlenecks in testing, monitoring the number and performance of testing. Demand generation through education, awareness, and advocacy
Essential
- Undergraduate degree; preferably an Advanced degree in life sciences, medical or pharmacy degree
- As minimum 3-5 years of experience in diagnostic market and molecular testing market; preferably high specialty experience
- Expertise on diagnostics support program in Pharmaceutical companies and/or Diagnostic companies
- Expertise in discussing scientific content and context to multiple audiences
- Project management experience
- Ability to travel (percentage varies with geography)
