What you’ll do
You will provide technical support by the maintenance and improvement of the complex electrical and control systems at the manufacturing site in support of production and site operations, adhering to safety, GMP and legislative requirements. You will also provide technical advice to the line manufacturing departments, and instigate, coordinate and undertake continuous improvement initiatives for the facility and production plant. Your responsibilities will include:
Undertake fault-finding and maintenance following procedures and safety standards to maintain the day to day and long term efficient running of the electrical and control system plant and equipment within its validated state.
Undertake equipment design and development following operational and validation procedures, and technical management systems to improve production performance and quality
Proactively develop expertise of current electrical and control system technologies used at the manufacturing site, including SOPs and work instructions for the equipment maintenance and operation.
Ensures all safety and operating procedures are followed to maintain a safe working environment
Plans and prioritise your workload to ensure assigned activities are completed in a timely and effective manner.
Manage technical improvement projects to develop electrical and control system plant for increased performance and quality
Coordinates work with own team and other departments to ensure work in completed as planned with no impact to production and site operations.
Complete administrative duties including work reporting, purchasing and quality tasks in SAP
Support Group operations by contributing to developing procedures and systems, and performing safety and site training tasks (eg. Housekeeping audits)
Work in a manner which promotes the safety and well being of self, others and environment
Essential for the role
Recognised Australian trade qualification and current electrical license
Post Trade Course (electronics/instruments)
Practical experience in industrial maintenance.
PLC experience (Siemens or BnR)
Computing Skills
Desirables for the role
Electrical Engineering/Instrumentation /Electronic Associate Diploma
Instrumentation Qualification
SCADA experience Robotic experience Servo drives exposure Microprocessor exposure Pharmaceutical or Food Industry experience
Project Management experience
