Brand Manager
Introduction to role:
Drive the commercialisation of the haematology portfolio on a national level by co-developing the cross-functional brand strategy, implementing the marketing strategy and driving the operational marketing mix and tactics. The brand manager actively and directly contributes to the brand ambition by delivering budgeted sales growth & prepare the internal and external environment for further expansion of the haematology portfolio.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead the process of developing the cross-functional brand strategy, together with the core members of cross-functional team, based on global plans and tailored to local insights & market analytics
- Overlook the implementation of the brand strategy throughout the year, monitor and adjust where relevant based on continuous market insights
- Develop and implement the full range of marketing tactical elements (omnichannel campaigns, commercial assets…) to support the cross-functional team to realize brand ambition
- Continuously seek to understand and embed customer and market insights into all brand activities by synthesizing qualitative feedback from various sources (market research reports and promotional analysis, customer insights, sales & medical insights…) with quantitative feedback available through various data sources and reports
- Drive and align the Cross-functional Brand Team throughout the year via organisation of regular brand team meetings & ad hoc meetings.
- Prepare internal & external haematology environment to prepare for upcoming launches and expansion of the haematology portfolio
- Participate in the training & development for field force and other customer facing roles on brand information.
- Build and maintain a strong network in the field.
- Responsible for marketing budget of assigned brand(s).
- Partcipate in business forecasting for current and future indications to support appropriate resource allocation
- Advocate for and drive the brand amongst office and field colleagues as well as external customers to ensure the Brand Plan delivers essential short term growth and long term brand success.
- Comply with all external regulations and internal policies.
- Ensure compliance with AZ Policies and Standards with special emphasis on Code of Conduct, Ethical Interaction Policy and Standards, Privacy (Patient Group interactions) and Procurement (engagement of third-parties).
Job Requirements:
- Master’s Degree in Scientific Field or related
- Languages: preference for trilingual candidate (English, French, Dutch); bilingual (English + Dutch or French) is a must
- Experience managing complex projects
- Proven brand management experience incl. working in a cross-functional environment
Nice to have:
- Sales experience
- Understanding of the development and commercialization of pharmaceutical products in Belux
- Understanding of the Belgium and Luxembourg Healthcare environment
- Experience in brand forecasting
- Experience of launching a product
