Safety, Health and Environment Specialist

Join our dynamic team as a Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) Specialist, where you'll provide expert support in a specialized area without the need for direct supervision.

Accountabilities:

As a SHE Specialist, you will:

  • Manage or provide technical guidance to multiple teams, ensuring adequate supervision, instruction, and regulatory training are delivered.
  • Oversee long-term resource planning by gathering input from various teams and escalating needs appropriately.
  • Serve as a technical lead in your area of expertise within the SHE Function, with a comprehensive understanding of related processes and equipment.
  • Lead the planning, management, and monitoring of major SHE projects from concept to implementation, or offer expert technical support to project managers.
  • Manage or provide technical support to multiple teams daily, ensuring supervision, instruction, and regulatory training are provided.
  • Oversee long-term resource planning for the function and act as a technical owner in the Safety, Health and Environment Function.
  • Lead, plan, manage, and monitor major Safety, Health and Environment projects, offering expert technical support to project managers.
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and follow-up of ISO certification processes, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement.

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
  • Proven experience in Safety, Health, and Environment roles.
  • Comprehensive understanding of multiple facets of the SHE domain.
  • Knowledge of ISO 14001/45001 standards and certification processes.
  • Fluency in Portuguese and proficient command of English.
  • CAP level V or VI

  • Ability to influence and engage cross-functional teams.
