Regional Travel Manager

Are you ready to take the lead in regional business travel demand activities? We are seeking a Regional Travel Manager (RTM) who will be the “internal face of travel” for AstraZeneca. This role is EMEA based and is one of 3 RTMs for Americas, EMEA, and Asia Pacific. The RTM will drive the AstraZeneca travel programme, including change management, communications, and travel policy reporting to relevant stakeholders at multiple levels in the organisation. 

Accountabilities:
As an RTM, you will report to and support the Associate Director Business Travel in the development of long term strategic plans and road maps at regional and market level travel. You will work with Travel Procurement Manager, Data Analyst teams, and key suppliers to deliver value to AstraZeneca. You will also lead business reviews with regional and market leads to ensure local business objectives are met. Furthermore, you will have key responsibility for the GME Travel for Meetings programme including implementation in EMEA markets and advisory role for global roll-out.

Essential Skills/Experience:
- Degree or equivalent professional qualification
- High level of travel industry work experience
- Knowledge of travel technology and apps
- Extensive programme management experience
- Proven track record to manage change
- Driven passion for the customer
- Self-motivated
- Oral and written fluency in Business English
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Power Point and Excel
- Strong analytical and financial skills
- High personal impact and gravitas with leadership teams
- Strong networking skills demonstrating the ability to build effective relationships quickly and efficiently across a diverse stakeholder group
- Strategic influencing skills and ability to constructively challenge
- Able to act decisively by synthesising information from multiple sources, which you gather on an ongoing basis
- Drive commitment and delivery
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Can translate operational outcomes into commercial impact
- Innovative – challenge status quo for improvements and look beyond existing scope for future opportunities
- Visionary – able to inspire and influence
- Able to see future customer need and build solutions proactively

Desirable Skills/Experience:
- Supplier Management experience preferred

- Knowledge or experience of Concur Travel & expenses and Workday HR system desirable
