Introduction to role
Our outstanding team focuses on the enterprise architecture for our Enabling Units, which include Human Resources, Finance, Global Business Services, Corporate Affairs, Legal, Compliance, and Mergers & Acquisitions. As a Principal Enterprise Architect - Global Business Services, you will deliver business impact through forward-thinking, innovative IT solutions. You will ensure that architecture decisions support both business and technology strategies, and that the architectures delivered are aligned with relevant standards, blueprints, and roadmaps.
Accountabilities
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of enterprise-level solutions for Global Business Services.
- Collaborate with multi-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into effective solutions.
- Develop and maintain the technology roadmap for the Global Business Services domain, ensuring alignment with business objectives and industry standard methodologies.
- Innovate and explore new technologies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of business services processes.
- Provide strategic guidance and oversight for the integration of new systems and technologies.
- Ensure the scalability, security, and performance of enterprise solutions.
- Mentor and support IT teams and collaborators to strengthen architectural understanding and capabilities across the organization.
- Bring thought technology leadership to the organization, driving innovation and embracing standard processes in Global Business Services.
Essential Skills/Experience
- Bachelors in Computer Science, Information System or related field
- 10+ years of experience in architecture
- Experience producing application strategies/roadmaps for a global enterprise in their focused architecture domain
- Proven architecture experience with ServiceNow, Snowflake and Power Platform
- Experience with large product evaluations, case formulation
- Experience developing and influencing business strategies with multi-functional team impact
- Experience designing and leading innovative solutions
- Demonstrable experience of leading change and challenging approaches/ideas
- Experience designing and maintaining relationships with third party suppliers
- Experience working within and developing policies, procedures and guidelines within a secure, quality, and compliance environment
- Strong networking skills with good internal/external links
- Good communication, facilitation and relationship building skills
- Ability to interpret and communicate technical information into business language
- Awareness of developments in the marketplace and understand the relevance and potential impact to AZ IS
- Ability to work well in diverse, multinational teams and demonstrable ability to influence others to achieve positive outcomes
Desirable Skills/Experience
- Demonstrate initiative, strong customer orientation, and cross-cultural working
- People Development experience
- Experience working in pharmaceutical, healthcare and biotech industry
- Familiarity with data science, AI/ML architecture
- Knowledge of AWS, ServiceNow, Snowflake, Mulesoft, Snaplogic
- Understanding of the pharmaceutical/healthcare industry and of competitor activity on a particular architecture and Information Management
