The company has an open position of Medical Science Liaison (MSL) in Oncology. MSL is a field-based scientific expert that strategically supports the medical and scientific objectives products. This individual is a peer scientific expert who communicates accurate and applicable science to Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) within a geographic area.
It’s a hybrid role: 30% of fieldwork and 70% of strategy work.
Who is this vacancy for?
- Someone with experience in the position Senior Medical Representative, KAM or Product Manager.
- Employees-assistants of university departments who are interested in science and want to develop as researchers (assistant of the department, PhD, etc.).
- Employee of the clinical research department.
- Someone without similar experience, but who has ambition and wants to become a specialist in this area, with an understanding of what command work is.
Requirements:
- Higher education in Pharmacy or Medicine;
- Experience in company with originals medicine or with innovative products;
- Ability to learn, motivation and interest to oncology;
- English at the Intermediate level and higher;
- Experience in analyzing and searching for information on medicine research, interpretation of scientific research and statistical data;
- Communicability, the ability to speak at the same language as medical professionals;
- Analytical mind;
- Presentation skills;
- Experience with oncological medicine will be an advantage.
Responsibilities:
- Developing and maintaining peer-to-peer collaborations with key medical experts in the TA Area within the assigned region and becoming recognized as a consultant in the therapeutic area;
- Identifying and executing collaboration opportunities between expert KOLs in Pulmonology, medical affairs and clinical development, such as publications, investigator-initiated trials, regional advisory boards, training, and speaker development programs;
- Serving as scientific peer-to-peer resource for TA Area disease experts. Educating the medical community with up-to-date medical and scientific information and exhibiting robust disease expertise and product information;
- Communicating experts’ opinion, feedback on new data and clinical trends to Medical Affairs and translating this information into strategic recommendations to enhance science and advance patient care;
- Responding to unsolicited medical information requests in the region, managing questions, liaising with headquarters to ensure a proper response has been provided and ensuring that data is fair and balanced;
- Providing input into investigator-initiated research objectives and serving as a champion for proposals submitted. Serving as a point-person and conduit for respective projects;
- Acting as MSL lead for clinical initiatives including site identification, trial recruitment and presentation of medical/scientific background and approved data.
