Introduction to Role:
As a Medicaid Specialist at AstraZeneca, you will play a pivotal role in the accurate processing of our Medicaid rebates payments to states on a quarterly basis. This includes FFS Medicaid, Managed Medicaid, SPAP, ADAP, and Supplemental rebates. You will also be responsible for the development of Medicaid Supplemental contracts, interacting with various departments to ensure contracts are prepared accurately and in a timely manner.
Accountabilities:
• Negotiate, analyze and administer Medicaid Supplemental contracts.
• Collaborate with other Medicaid Specialists and Managers on contract set up/maintenance.
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external customers.
• Understand and interpret Medicaid contract language and regulations.
• Lead dispute resolution process.
• Manage the receipt, analysis, impact, resolution and reporting of all Medicaid payments.
• Ensure payments are accurate, timely, formulary compliant and entered in contract systems consistent with agreement terms.
Essential Skills/Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience.
• Understanding of Market Access and Healthcare delivery.
• Logic and mathematical skills.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail and trends.
Desirable Skills/Experience:
• MBA.
• Understanding of AZ business model with specific knowledge of contract operations.
• Experience with Model N.
