GA & Policy Associate Manager
[Role description]
- AZ Korea’s GA&Policy associate manager will be responsible for shaping both external & internal environment to enhance AZ’s position as a trustful partner in Korea and enable its’ business priorities in the Korean healthcare system.
- Contribute to map GA & Policy strategies aligning with AstraZeneca’s core values.
- To achieve the goals, broad and deeper network should have been established with relevant external stakeholders including government bodies, national assembly, patient groups, embassies, academia and industry associations.
[Typical Accountabilities]
Corporate Reputation Enhancement with strategic external Stakeholder Management
- Develop and update a strategic stakeholder framework and a database for an effective stakeholder management.
- Establish and strengthen strategic partnerships/relationships with key stakeholders in administration, public policy authorities and relevant organizations listed above to have an influence on their activities.
- Strengthen AZK’s reputation and presence in areas where our key stakeholders belong to and/or are interested in
GA Strategy Development and Implementation to Shape a Positive policy environment.
- Develop overall GA strategies and plans across our main TAs to maximize/leverage existing opportunities and strengths and deliver our business priorities
- Develop and execute partnership programs with the stakeholders to address common healthcare agenda and contribute health of Korean patients ultimately
- Develop key messages relevant to each stakeholder to raise issues effectively
- Effectively monitor and analyze government political activities, policies, guidance, issues and regulations relating to health issues of interest to AZK business and report them to internal stakeholders timely
Business Partnering for Internal Stakeholders
- Advise senior management on responses or initiatives needed to achieve business objectives given development in government policy
- Work collaboratively with relevant functions to identify opportunities/milestones and make suggestions to deliver common goals
- Collaborate with global/regional team to engage them in our activities and identify initiatives to realize AZ’s values. Proactively share with them best cases, issues, opportunities and insights from the market to strengthen Korea team’s position within AZ

- Ability to manage multiple projects and execute collaboratively in a matrix environment
- Strong capability to formulate and implement strategies
- Excellent oral and written communication skills (KOR/ENG)
- Thorough understanding of the legislative and administrative processes and knowledge of key player
[Qualifications]
- Education: Bachelor’s degree is minimum
- Language: Korean
- Work Experience: At least 8-10 years of experience in industry/ government/external affairs area
- Competencies(preferred):
1. Academic background preferred in law, public administration, healthcare economics, business, public health administration, public policy, or other related field
2. Broad experience in pharmaceutical and/or healthcare industries
3. Experience in building relationships with senior level government officials and healthcare providers
