Introduction to Role:
Join our dynamic team as a Fleet Management Specialist, where you will manage a number of operations within the Fleet Management function.

With your extensive experience and business knowledge, you will develop and maintain operations, ensuring the delivery of frontline services in response to business demands. Accountabilities:
As a Fleet Management Specialist, you will manage or provide technical support to multiple fleet management teams on a day-to-day basis, and also:

  • Oversees long-term resource planning for the function by collecting information on needs from others and escalating them properly.

  • Acts as a technical owner of a specific area within the Fleet Management Function with a deep understanding of processes and equipment employed.

  • Either leads the planning, managing, and monitoring of major facilities management projects from concepts to implementation, or provides expert technical support to project managers. 

  • Manages finances, oversees costs for several cost centres and provides input to capital improvement planning as appropriate

  • Keeps own knowledge of best practices and new developments up to date. 

  • Leads trouble shooting activities to resolve existing problems, make complicated judgements and anticipate future developments in AstraZeneca’s Fleet related needs.

  • Responsible for managing customer needs and expectations across a broad range of services in order to provide a high quality, timely and cost-effective service.

  • Ensures optimal performance across team by supporting individual development plans for own team and applying new tools.

  • Employs prepared information to discuss, plan and help carry out improvement plans, priority setting, investigation reports, quality or performance improvement recommendations.

  • Develops contacts across a range of departments and/or external groups acting as a representative for own plant, operation or other area of responsibility.

  •  Supports on-going change management and continuous improvement and development of own team.

  • Support the Facilities Manager in day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth facility management and coordination of related tasks.

Essential Skills/Experience:
- Degree level or equivalent.
- Facilities management experience.
- Strong communication and influencing skills.
- Project and people management.

- Fluent in Portuguese with good commands in English.

Desirable skills:
- Understanding of multiple aspects of physical plant, technical equipment and other elements of facilities management.
