Data Governance Manager - Workforce Data

Are you ready to take on a role that will challenge you and help you grow? As a Data Governance Manager, you will be responsible for the fitness and use of one or more master data dimensions. Working within the GBS Data Office (GDO) and a wider community of HR data stewards & business users, you will maintain the quality and integrity of master data through the development and embedding of standards, education of users, and oversight of data management practices. This role will focus on Workforce Master Data.

Accountabilities:

In this role, you will develop the Data governance framework, own and maintain documented standards for relevant Workforce master data objects. You will act as SME for relevant master data objects to data design leads, data stewards, project teams and users. You will provide oversight and direction for the business users, data stewards and data management teams to ensure standards are embedded and followed. You will also perform the role of Data product owner for location reference data product that is being developed.

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • Experience in the definition, maintenance, and use of HR and/or finance master data
  • Strong engagement, communication, and collaborator leadership skills, including excellent organisational, presentation and influencing skills.
  • A ‘Can do’ attitude to understanding data issues, the impact and proactively inspiring change.
  • Able to analyse data and identify key issues with the data.
  • High level of proficiency with common business applications (Excel, Visio, Word & PowerPoint)

Desirable Skills/Experience:

  • Demonstrable experience of working with Workforce master data and systems (Workday, Fieldglass, Utmost/Beeline).
  • Some understanding of HR data reporting and planning
  • Experience of working in a global organisation with complex/geographical context
  • Pharmaceutical business awareness/business domain knowledge
