Introduction to role

We have highly skilled scientists in our labs who experiment and support complex drug projects. The environment is driven by scientific and technical innovation with a high level of diversity in workflows, data, and vendors. Working alongside the technical teams supporting the systems in the R&D business unit, you will be working to understand the various operational and strategic metrics and improvement opportunities to efficiently drive initiatives.

Accountabilities

  • Work closely with stakeholders (R&D IT Value streams, Cross-functional teams, Business) to gather and evaluate requirements and document clearly.

  • Collect data from various sources, examine and analyze, and transform into actionable insights.

  • Process Enhancement: map out current processes and tasks, identify bottlenecks/duplications/inefficiencies and streamline processes. Collaborate with various teams for continuous feedback to drive productivity and efficiency.

  • Effective communication and stakeholder management, facilitate discussions, negotiate for middle ground.

  • Optimize utilization and identify cost-saving opportunities.

  • Drive AI adoption and automation within the team.

  • Identify and handle risks and issues, and act as SPOC for GITC Risks.

  • Drive initiatives and performance metrics aligned with R&D IT Scorecard.

  • Project Management: Supervise multiple projects or initiatives. Strong project management skills to plan, organize, and coordinate resources, timelines, and deliverables.

  • Develop strategic plans, conduct feasibility studies, and drive accurate forecasting and demand planning.

  • Cultivate robust strategic relationships with value streams to gain a deep understanding of their strategic direction and evolving needs.

  • Establish relationships with internal and external collaborators.

  • Use data-driven insights to inform strategic decisions.

  • Problem-solving: Identify root causes of business issues and propose creative solutions to overcome obstacles and optimize processes.

Essential Skills/Experience

As an Operations & Strategy manager, along with the ability and willingness to learn new skills and technologies in a fast-paced environment, we are looking for someone who gets excited at the thought of solving tough challenges.

You should apply if you have:

  • Total years of experience 15+

  • Knowledge on IT Quality and Service management

  • Hands-on Experience in SNOW Modules

  • Experience in Process improvement and re-engineering

  • Understanding of pharma and regulatory processes and requirements

  • Agile ways of working

  • Experience working with global teams

  • Knowledge of budgeting, cost management, and financial planning to ensure that service delivery stays within budget and aligns with financial goals

  • Analytical skills: Strong ability to interpret complex data, identify patterns, and draw significant conclusions.

  • Critical thinking: Ability to build detailed and forward-looking strategies in line with business goals

  • Interpersonal skills: Excellent written and verbal communication to present complex ideas clearly and persuasively.

  • Good to have Certifications- ITIL, PMI-ACP, Scrum, SaFE

  • You have worked in a team and understand the importance of collaboration and are passionate about helping others.

  • Flexible to work during critical issues negotiating the timeframe and a good teammate.

Education:

  • Candidates with a degree from a recognized Business school are preferred
