Introduction to role

We are seeking a HR Product Specialist who will be responsible for supervising the development, enhancement, and management of HR-related products and services within an HR organization but supporting business facing activities. This individual acts as a liaison between HR collaborators, including HR business partners, employees, and leadership, and the development team or vendor responsible for creating and maintaining HR technology solutions. The HR Product Specialist is accountable for defining the product vision, prioritizing features, and ensuring that the final product meets the needs of the HR function and aligns with the overall business strategy. This role requires a deep understanding of HR processes, a strategic mentality, and the ability to translate HR requirements into actionable plans for the development team, all while considering the employee experience and the organization's strategic objectives.

Accountabilities

Create and take ownership for our Digital HR product strategy to ensure value realization, through consultation with the process managers, vendor product development, and digital project delivery

Serve as a strong consultative partner to the global process managers, taking holistic responsibility for the employee experience in Digital HR products and continuously reviewing and improving process performance and service delivery

Take ownership for the user experience and make changes where vital, fully understanding the global view of the product and ensuring all users across all geographies have an excellent product experience.

Work closely with the Business Readiness Lead for functional process/employee journey development, ensuring flawless integration and alignment with the organization's strategic objectives

Work with Process Managers to develop and maintain the HR technology process landscape document to ensure that HR & HRIT understand where duplication of technology exists and influence the Digital HR product vendor to deliver appropriate functionality that supports our business processes

Participate in all product/platform related project activities, ensuring alignment with the overall HR and organizational strategy

Play a meaningful role in the HR technology governance process and represent the Digital HR platform in this forum, ensuring appropriate preparation for monthly and bi-annual CoE meetings

Ensure configuration is reviewed regularly, delivering value realization and process efficiency across all key business processes.

Take the lead on any significant feature release, partnering with the process managers to review the appropriateness of the feature in the business process landscape

Facilitate all product meetings with the Digital HR product account lead, including annual & quarterly business reviews and monthly catchups, fostering a strong and collaborative relationship with the vendor to drive continuous improvement and alignment with organizational goals

Essential Skills/Experience

Experience related to the implementation and management of enterprise HR applications/platforms

Excellent influencing and stakeholder management skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to build effective relationships and working collaboratively with our global process owners and business partners

Experience of managing multiple projects/programmes in a large global organisation

Project planning, management, risk monitoring and mitigation

Ability to understand business priorities and align technology opportunities

Ability to prioritize workload and provide timely follow-up and resolution

Ability to motivate and set the direction for a (not direct report) team

Experience of working in a complex, global matrix organisation

Desirable Skills/Experience

Global Perspective: Experience in working with diverse and global teams, understanding cultural nuances, and aligning HR processes to cater to a diverse workforce.

Change Leadership: Demonstrable ability to lead and inspire change, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the HR function and across the organization.

Digital HR Expertise: Knowledge of innovative digital HR trends, technologies, and standard processes, and the ability to apply them to enhance HR processes and employee experiences.

Regulatory Compliance: Understanding of HR regulations and compliance requirements, ensuring that all HR processes and technology solutions adhere to legal and regulatory standards.

Effective Communication: Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to non-technical team members and build consensus around process improvements.

Data Privacy and Security: Knowledge of data privacy laws and standard processes for ensuring the security and integrity of HR data within digital HR systems and processes.
