Job Description
The Contract Enablement Analyst is a member of the Contract Mentorship & Enablement team within the GBS (Global Business Services) – Compliance, Legal and Contracting Operations (CLCO) group and is responsible for driving AstraZeneca’s portfolio of drug products by providing business support for external services and teamworks. This role is required to ensure prompt completion of contracts and timely payment of vendors and partners.
A successful candidate will have a project management attitude with a focus on responsiveness, partnering to conduct operational tasks to ensure accuracy and completeness of requirements and will provide guidance to partners (customers), management and peers.
Accountabilities
- Create and handle purchase orders and PO change requests for implemented procurement agreements, serving as the primary point of contact with vendors for PO-related inquiries.
- Effectively prioritise multiple activities to meet internal and external customers' needs, providing proactive status updates on activities.
- Confirm completion of goods/services and ensure timely processing of payments, working closely with vendors and accounts payable to resolve any payment issues.
- Maintain regular meetings with the relevant collaborators to focus on PO/Invoicing and any other queries/achievements and budget updates.
- Provide support for the Oncology Business Unit Global Commercial team systems (acting as point of contact for systems updates/issues/ queries/standard trainings) within the area of responsibility and assists with systems’ new versions roll-out as applicable.
- Update and process requests in PO-related systems daily, and ensure all relevant files are updated as applicable within the area of responsibility.
- Support relevant collaborators with financial queries, E-payments, user access, troubleshooting, SOWs (statements of work), and study document management.
- Lead client and third-party expectations, delivering results within established timelines.
- Promote standard methodologies, maintain processes, and share expertise in key systems, making and implementing recommendations to streamline processes and improve data accuracy.
- Ensure adherence to operational and compliance processes, providing systems/process training sessions for tools and technology platforms under guidance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree (general business, handled health care, legal or finance fields are preferred) or equivalent experience
- 3 years of contract experience
- Must be a self-starter and committed
- Shown knowledge of procure to pay process and experience with multiple procurement and contract management systems is required
- Shown knowledge of, or skills to learn, current policies and guidelines that affect contracts, compliance etc. in a highly regulated environment
- Proven record of accomplishment of meeting or exceeding objectives & goals.
- Strong attention to detail, written and verbal communication
- Proven ability to quickly learn new systems, processes, and skills.
- Ability to optimally get along with internal and external collaboratorss in Procurement, Accounts Payable, Legal Affairs, Compliance
Desirable
- Strong Project Management/Organization Skills
- Previous contract development or related experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech or related industry is preferred
