AI Support Engineer

Location: Hybrid (3 days on-site in Guadalajara, MX; 2 days remote)

You’ll be the first line of support for the AI services that thousands of scientists and engineers rely on every day. Your work will keep critical machine-learning workloads running smoothly—ultimately accelerating the delivery of new medicines to patients worldwide.

What you’ll do

• Act as the L1 / L2 first responder for incidents, service requests and questions related to our AI platforms (Kubernetes, Kubeflow, ArgoCD, etc.).
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues spanning development, staging and production environments in AWS.
• Collaborate daily with Data Scientists, ML Engineers and DevOps teams to triage problems, identify root causes and implement fixes.
• Monitor platform health using Kibana, Grafana and Prometheus; automate alerting and runbooks where possible.
• Contribute to infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation or similar) to keep environments reproducible and compliant.
• Work within security and data-privacy guardrails, partnering closely with Cyber-Security, Compliance and GxP teams.
• Continuously improve support processes, documentation and tooling in an Agile, “production-first” culture.

Required qualifications

• BSc / MSc or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• 5–7 years of hands-on experience with Kubernetes-based stacks (Kubeflow, ArgoCD, container orchestration).
• 5+ years developing production software in Python (other languages welcome).
• Proven track record delivering ML / data-science workloads at scale on AWS using infrastructure-as-code.
• Familiarity with DevOps automation pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, etc.).
• Experience in a formal support environment (ITIL or similar) and working in Agile teams.
• Excellent communicator who can translate complex technical issues for diverse audiences.

Nice-to-have

• Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) or other GenAI implementation experience.
• Natural-Language Processing (NLP) background.
• Exposure to Dataiku or similar data-science platforms.
• Prior work on GxP-regulated or life-science systems.
