We’re looking for a Commercial Innovation Manager who will lead the charge in introducing cutting-edge sales tools, technologies, and processes that fuel enhanced customer engagement and elevate our field force performance. You will play a pivotal role within the Innovation & Business Excellence team, driving digital transformation and championing new capabilities across the Commercial organization.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead Digital Innovation
    Drive the development and implementation of new sales systems, tools, and technologies that align with AstraZeneca Canada's digital strategy.
  • Expand Digital Reach
    Optimize and evolve existing digital capabilities and channels to enhance the customer experience through the field force.
  • Champion Commercial Systems
    Act as the innovation lead for current and emerging commercial systems, working cross-functionally and globally to deliver next-generation sales capabilities.
  • Design for Impact
    Lead the design and optimization of future sales force processes, ensuring they are efficient, effective, and user-centric.
  • Change Management & Adoption
    Build and execute thoughtful change management plans to support the seamless launch of new Veeva capabilities and drive adoption within the sales organization.
  • Project Management Excellence
    Serve as project lead for the end-to-end implementation of new tools and processes, ensuring on-time and on-target delivery.
  • Vendor Collaboration
    Partner with external vendors to manage digital tools, programs, and technologies that enhance field capabilities.
  • Performance Optimization
    Monitor key sales execution metrics and make data-driven recommendations to improve efficiency and outcomes.
  • Field Engagement
    Maintain strong communication with the sales force to gather feedback, surface challenges, and celebrate early wins that support adoption.
  • Global Alignment
    Articulate market needs effectively to influence global priorities and ensure local relevance of global innovations.

What You Bring

  • A Bachelor’s Degree with minimum of 2 years’ experience in pharmaceutical sales or supporting sales teams is an asset.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (Veeva/ Salesforce), marketing or omni digital creation strategies is an asset
  • A high degree of initiative, agility, and urgency in a dynamic environment
  • Proven success managing multiple priorities and leading cross-functional projects
  • Exceptional project management, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Creative thinking and a solution-oriented approach to problem-solving
  • Strong communication and change management capabilities — verbal, written, and presentation
  • Enthusiasm for working in ambiguous, fast-evolving environments
  • Interest and general understanding of Generative AI and its potential in commercial environments
