Director, Resource Capacity Management
The Director, Portfolio and Capacity Management role is a member of the PMO – Business Planning and Operations team within CTDO in the Global Operations business unit.
You Will:
Support CTDO by establishing capacity management processes, overview of resource demand, headcount/vacancies (capacity) and provides the information required to support critical business activities such as LTP/MTP/RBU’s. You will report to the head of PMO – Business Planning and Operations in the CTDO organization.
Lead the strategic resource planning and capacity management process for CTDO.
Liaise directly with CTDO leaders to understand demand / capacity across CTDO functions.
Establish and lead capacity management, planning and controls.
Lead interactions with the R&D Resource Council leads, escalate capacity issues to CTDO LT, ensure actions are agreed and assigned to address capacity issues and provide feedback to relevant functional leaders.
Manage functional internal and external processes that provide information on demand and capacity
Lead activities that improve management of resource allocation required to support the portfolio.
Support Project and Functional Leaders in development of high-quality plans and demand forecasts. Coach leaders in planning best practice and independently review data and suggest improvements to templates, algorithms, processes. In partnership with GPPM, lead the development / improvement of resource forecasting algorithms to forecast credible FTE demand.
Develop a streamlined process to track and reconcile demand / capacity across all systems such as PLANIT, CAPIT, ResourcIT/ MYTIME and WorkDay. Support reporting, training and reconciliation processes.
Identify new capacity and resource issues, highlight potential gaps in organizational capacity and propose potential solutions.
Collaborate with BPO Lead, Finance Business Partner, and business analysts to help deliver business cycles (LTP/MTP/RBU’s).
Promote capacity and demand data provision, analytics and interpretation required for the business cycles.
Create and ensure clear communications to CTDO leaders and partners through presentations of demand and capacity data along with data analysis and interpretation.
May support other business process improvement programs.
You Have:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in relevant scientific discipline
Experience communicating business impact analysis to senior leaders
Experience presenting resource demand forecasts to support
Familiar with large capacity and portfolio management systems
Experience in portfolio capacity and demand management within the Pharmaceutical R&D or Operations environment
Experience presenting resource demand forecasts
Scientific background and experienced in conducting and presenting data analysis
Experience influencing and collaborating across global and functional boundaries with a delivery-focused attitude
The annual base salary for this position ranges from $151,476 - $227,214. However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, and experience. Also, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (salaried roles), to receive a retirement contribution (hourly roles), and commission payment eligibility (sales roles).
