Scientist, Clinical Trial Safety Intern 2025 Working in Science Internship Program at AstraZeneca (July – September)
The Internship Program at AstraZeneca is aimed at graduates and students of the last years of universities who want to use the knowledge gained during their studies in practice. Responsibilities:
The Trial Safety Review Center (TRISARC) is a department in the Research and Development function of AstraZeneca. The primary remit of the TRISARC is to review large amounts of safety data flowing through the clinical trial environment in order to ensure patient data is complete and medically accurate, thus allowing study physicians and study scientists to interpret safety data efficiently.
Requirements:
• Educational degree (BSc/Msc/Phd, or student of a final year of Msc studies) in Life Science or equivalent work experience in directly related fields - preferably medicine, pharmacy, veterinary medicine, biotechnology, nurse, dentist
• Strong attention-to-detail, analytical skills, and ability to concisely summarize large amounts of complex information
• Ability to multi-task in a high-volume environment with shifting priorities
• Excellent time management
• Team player, but also able to work individually
• Computer proficiency
• Excellent knowledge of spoken and written English
• Exhibit of AZ Values and Behaviours
• Knowledge of ICH/GCP Guidelines
• Knowledge of SAE reporting requirements
All interns will:
• Undergo role-specific training and will be mentored by highly experienced professionals.
• Learn about AstraZeneca and a global pharmaceutical company work environment.
• Undertake real work, proactively collaborating with our experienced staff.
At the end of your internship you will receive a certificate and feedback from the team; many of our interns are successful applicants for permanent roles within our global clinical research centre!
Posting is closing 31st of March 2025. All submitted applications will be verified by us and assessed based on the objective criteria. Selected candidates will receive an invitation to introduce and present themselves using HireVue - a tool that allows to send answers to recruitment questions in the form of video recordings. On the final stage of the process, you will remotely meet the recruiting team consisting of representatives of a given department. At the end of April, we will announce a list of people for whom this year's internship program recruitment process was successful.
The internships will start in July and lasts 3 months.
We work in a hybrid scheme, be prepared to work partially office based.
