2025 Working in Science Internship Program at AstraZeneca (July – September)
The Internship Program at AstraZeneca is aimed at graduates and students of the last years of universities who want to use the knowledge gained during their studies in practice. The Medical Evidence Delivery Team within Oncology Business Unit (OBU) is responsible for strategic planning and operational delivery (study management) of interventional and observational AstraZeneca sponsored studies (AZ studies), externally sponsored scientific research (ESR) and early access programs (EAP) in order to provide access to AstraZeneca therapies, ensure earlier access to our medication to patients, and explore areas of interest/evidence gaps that have not been covered through the Clinical Development Plan.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree required preferably in medical or biological science or equivalent by experience
Interest in permanent roles following the internship program; interest in oncology and project management,
Adequate language skills- spoken and written,
Scientific background relevant to the role
Knowledge and understanding of the clinical study and drug development processes, GCP/ICH guidelines
Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as proven collaboration and influencing skills
Team oriented and flexible; ability to respond quickly to shifting demands and opportunities
Demonstrated ability to collaborate as well as work independently
Ability to manage competing priorities
Desirable
Experience in managing external providers, for example as part of a scientific club at a university or some other organization.
Advanced degree in medical or biological sciences or field associated with clinical research
Previous administrative training/experience
Graduate or student of the 5/6th year (medical or biological sciences or field associated with clinical research)
At the end of your internship you will receive a certificate and feedback from the team; many of our interns are successful applicants for permanent roles within our global clinical research centre!
Posting is closing 31st of March 2025. All submitted applications will be verified by us and assessed based on the objective criteria. Selected candidates will receive an invitation to introduce and present themselves using HireVue - a tool that allows to send answers to recruitment questions in the form of video recordings. On the final stage of the process, you will remotely meet the recruiting team consisting of representatives of a given department. At the end of April, we will announce a list of people for whom this year's internship program recruitment process was successful.
The internships will start in July and lasts 3 months.
We work in a hybrid scheme, be prepared to work partially office based.
