TITLE: Associate Director of Management Reporting, Enterprise FP&A
LOCATION: Boston, MA (A hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with company policies.)
HOURS: Full-Time; Mon-Fri (40 hours/week)
DUTIES: Lead the delivery of monthly, quarterly, and yearly management reporting. Support the Head of Enterprise Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) and Enabling Finance on delivery against targets, development of quarterly outturns, and full-year landing. Gather business insights and performance indicators that support explanations of present financial performance and future outlook. Evolve Alexion's management reporting framework. Develop frameworks and tools to deliver Alexion-specific reporting requirements in line with business needs and opportunities. Lead improvement of Alexion systems roadmap, focusing on aligning data structures for management reporting, streamlining processes, and developing reporting and analytics tools. Lead business requirements and roll out PowerBI in all dimensions associated with Management Reporting. Establish a platform of automated reports and dashboards. Initiate and drive improvement projects and support ad-hoc projects and critical initiatives promoted by senior management. Mentor and develop Global Financial Services team.
REQUIREMENTS: Must have a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Finance or a related field plus six (6) years of experience in the position offered, or as a Financial Analyst, Finance Manager, Finance Consultant, or a related position. Must have six (6) years of experience with all of the following: Producing monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports, including analysis and commentary of performance drivers versus plans and prior periods; Leading short-term financial planning process to ensure delivery of forecast at an enterprise level; Supporting financial planning development utilizing financial insights and models, including scenario analysis, price/volume analysis, Gross-to-Net analysis, volume forecast modeling, and sensitivity analysis; Performing accounting and FP&A; Analyzing and evaluating company performance through variance analysis and insights and indication generation; Collaborating cross-functionally to support data integrity of Qlik and PowerBI management reports, ensuring data reconciles among Datalake and multiple sources; and Reconciling accounting records. Must include three (3) years of experience in the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry with: Analyzing and reporting company financial data relating to revenue and performance from commercial medical/pharma stakeholders, including hospitals, patients, and payers; Presenting financial updates to senior leadership/C-suite audience; and Leading a team of accounting and financial staff. Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). 10% domestic and international travel is required to various and unanticipated company and client sites.
The annual base salary (or hourly rate of compensation) for this position ranges from $182,147.90 to $226,927.00. However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (salaried roles) or to receive a retirement contribution (hourly roles).
