Manager Scientific Communications & Engagement
Role based in Barcelona - 3 days at the office and 2 days at home
The Oncology R&D Scientific Communications and Engagement team are looking for a manager to lead strategic development and delivery of the Oncology Forum with additional responsibility for the delivery of internal communications and eventswithin Oncology R&D functions such as Early Oncology Porfolio & Priorities Broadcast. This is a high profile, autonomous opportunity where you will own strategic direction, engage with a broad range of senior leaders and utiliseyour project management and communications skills whilst expanding your network across Oncology R&D.
Additional role responsibilities will include owning the strategic creation and tactical delivery of defined internal communications and events in high priority areas across Oncology R&D. This would involve collaborating with the relevant leaders across ORD and the partners in SC&E to create strategic direction and plan/implement technical delivery on activities such asthe Portfolio & Priorities Broadcast, Key Awards/Connection events, SET reporting, post-congress debriefs, town halls, Ask Me Anything Sessions, recognition eventsetc.
What you will be doing (Accountabilities/responsibilities):
Oncology Forum
Owning the Oncology Forum Strategy including implementing the updated and agreed strategic direction plan, responding to audience and data feedback and growing the Forum to align more strongly with ORD priorities
Project Managing the tactical delivery of the Oncology Forum including schedule, session planning, presenter briefing, event communications, diary management, external speaker engagement and contracting.
Oncology R&D Communications
Owning strategic direction and leadership of defined events across key ORD functions
Supporting delivery of critical functional events including Awards, connect events and EXPOs
Broad stakeholder engagement across SC&E, GCA and ORD (including senior leaders)
Content creation and utilising AI and other innovative technologies across deliverables
Requirements
Experience of leading global internal comms events
Experience with supporting and engaging with a broad range of R&D stakeholders including ORDLT
Excellent project management skills
Autonomous delivery and proactive planning
Strong communications skills: written and verbal
Experience of global team-working and communicating with multiple stakeholders
Strong organisation and forward-planning skills
Excellent attention to detail
