Introduction to role
As the Medical Delivery Director, you will collaborate with the Medical team to develop delivery capabilities in Content, Medical Information & Communication, and Publications aligned with the medical strategy, using existing GBS Commercial Services. You will lead and evolve service areas to meet the medical organization’s needs, manage relationships, align on service performance metrics, own a demand management process, and develop further support areas for Medical. Engaging across Medical stakeholder groups, you will understand key requirements, establish a delivery roadmap balancing medical client priorities, and be responsible for the efficient, timely, and high-quality launch and transition of new medical initiatives to a business-as-usual delivery team.
The Medical Delivery Director reports to the Senior Director Global Planning & Medical Delivery within GBS Commercial Operations.
You should be a visionary leader with collaboration skills, intuition for business, and cultural awareness to work across departmental lines to engage, partner, influence, and challenge key stakeholders to ensure the usage of a shared service capability. Leading a high-performing team, you will deliver excellence in Medical Content, Medical Information & Communication, and Publications.
Accountabilities
Provide leadership, direction, guidance, and support to direct reports aligned with both business goals and colleague growth.
Serve as the single point of contact for all medical capabilities.
Drive adoption and delivery of GBS Medical Delivery capabilities globally.
Continuously scan the internal and external environment to represent leading trends and practices associated with medical shared services.
Develop our approach in delivering an Integrated Customer experience across medical teams.
Manage senior-level stakeholder relationships with Global Medical teams.
Align omnichannel campaign delivery services and content with medical goals.
Drive medical content reuse (global to local, local to local), transition to agile, and other strategic priorities like modular content.
Act as a main liaison to the existing GCS Omnichannel Operations team.
Drive process excellence, operational rigor, and productivity across service lines.
Foster teamwork between direct reports and partnering teams for omnichannel campaigns and other medical shared services.
Work across GBS Commercial Service team leads and other shared service organizations to improve collaboration and optimize cost, quality, and speed of delivery.
Proactively identify gaps in capability or opportunities for improvement.
Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and operational frameworks.
Supervise hiring and recruitment for the Medical Delivery Service Lines.
Lead all aspects of cross GBS operational efficiency initiatives like Keystone and Pearl.
Lead and report on Budget and FTE planning for MTP budget planning cycles.
Crucial Skills/Experience
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
Possesses a minimum of 5 years of experience in the Pharmaceutical or Healthcare Industry within medical or medical support organizations, with a total professional experience exceeding 15 years.
Defining and/or delivering various elements of digital, multi-channel, or omnichannel medical campaigns.
Ability to build positive relationships across partner groups including medical, marketing, and technology.
Ability to prioritize multiple projects running in parallel.
Ability to drive outcomes while leading a team of indirect reports.
Project management experience including risk mitigation and planning.
Ability to influence, empower, and inspire change.
Consistent track record working across functions with high dedication and follow-through.
Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and negotiating skills.

Understanding key concepts associated with Content, Email Delivery and Automation, Website Assembly, and/or Digital Media optimization.
Knowledge or understanding of tools such as Docuvera, JIRA, Adobe Campaign, Adobe Experience Manager, Adobe Target, Adobe Web Analytics, Tealium Audience Stream, Tealium IQ, Veeva.
