  • PhD in Statistics Mathematics, or other related data science majors
  • Leadership role with strong drug development and people management experience
  • In depth knowledge of the statistical sciences related to drug development
  • Expert of study statistical design, study execution, data analysis and interpretation
  • Experience and knowledge of regulatory requirement for medicine development and registration; experience in regulatory agency interactions and NDA submissions
  • People management experience
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build strong cross-functional relationships
  • Entrepreneurship, and strong capability in strategic thinking and problem solving
  • Minimum 10 years of industry experience with a minimum 5 years of leadership role
  • Key Tasks
  • Providing statistical leadership and guidance to R&D China for quality and speedy delivery of AZ portfolio value in China
  • Accountable to successful B/I support to the delivery of all China portfolio projects
  • Responsible for R&D China’s B/I project demand and resource planning
  • B/I head is a core member of China portfolio management committee (PMC)
  • Build, lead, manage and develop R&D China B/I
  • Provide coaching and guidance to B/I staff for effective delivery of all portfolio projects in CNPT environment.
  • To provide guidance to staffs for staff knowledge, skill and career development, and manage staff performance
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders internally and externally
  • To provide leadership and drive implementation of best practice in the team to achieve scientific excellence and operational effectiveness
  • Maintains a high degree of understanding and awareness on new methodologies, therapy area and Development initiatives
