The AZ Talent & Development strategy will shape the way that we develop our early, mid and late stage pipeline of talent through implementing cutting edge development methodology, behavioural assessments, stretch assignments and analytical insights to help our people thrive and realise their full potential. As our team invests in fulfilling this important purpose, we’re looking for an agile, business focused and collaborative HR leader to come join the team.
As Talent & Development Director for Operations, IT & Corporate Enabling Units you will lead, design and deliver activities to accelerate the development of AstraZeneca high potential employees and key organisational development priorities. A strategic business partner to the functional area your key stakeholders will include the SET, Senior Leadership Teams, HR Leadership Teams/VP, & HR Business Partners.
You will work with the business to understand the key 0-3 year succession pipelines and talent/capability insights, reviewing the outputs from the strategic workforce plan to lead, design and deliver activities to accelerate the development of AstraZeneca high potential employees. Whilst also translating these business requirements into clear demand signals for the T&D CoE practice areas.
You will own the SET area annual talent review cycle and SET area succession plan up to SET-1, building and maintaining the plan. Working collaboratively across other functions on the talent market place to share opportunities for cross functional development and identifying stretch development opportunities for our high potentials.
You will support the establishment and lead the delivery of the SET area early talent programmes, development centres and be the talent agent across the function for Top Talent and leadership succession – providing 121 career coaching & development support.
You will contribute to building and maintaining SET area Talent dashboards and the measuring of ROI, along with the design, development or execution of global Talent & Development products as required.
As a key brand ambassador for the Talent & Development Centre of Expertise (CoE) you will provide insights and connections, consulting with the business and leading the SET area talent reviews. Working closely with the Talent Acquisition CoE you will support the Talent Scouts and HRBP/VP’s to build external succession insights, ensuring a full talent pipeline of ready now, ready later talent for all business-critical roles.
Key success measures will be the deep understanding of the business priorities, the engagement of our people, depth and coverage across our functional succession pipelines, and a validated bench of diverse succession candidates for our most critical roles.
Qualifications & Experience required for this role:
Extensive experience within Talent Development, Executive Assessment, Organisation Development, or HR Business Partnering
Ability to demonstrate working globally with and/or leading complex projects
Experience consulting, facilitating and presenting to groups and leaders at all organizational levels including exec level.
Exec and high potential career coaching
Ability to effectively operate in an environment of constant change and able to work with ambiguity
Strong analytical mind, creative and critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Demonstrate expertise and global operational HR experience, ideally in talent development or related activity.
Bachelor's degree in Organisational Behaviour, Organisational Development, Psychology, or Business related field
Strong collaboration and influencing skills to create partnerships to implement change; consistently displays a readiness and willingness to share knowledge; is open to different perspectives and to building consensus
