We are currently looking for a European Policy Director to join us on a Permanent basis in either Cambridge , UK or Gothenburg, Sweden.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Influence the EU Regulatory Environment and leading change our regulatory policy and processes
  • Shape and Influence our Framework by active membership on internal and external bodies, Trade and professional Associations such as EFPIA/EBE/VE, TOPRA and DIA
  • Policy lead for assigned regional topics related to the portfolio. Engage externally (EFPIA, VE etc) on key regional policy issues prioritized by the business and some TA topics
  • Build and maintain external relationships with EMA and key National Agency staff through project or policy interactions and via external engagement at meetings/conferences etc.
  • Keep all key stakeholders informed on key changes in the European regulatory environment
  • Be an influential leader sharing regional findings/knowledge with Therapy Area VPs, Global Regulatory Leads and other regulatory
  • Represent the Global Regulatory Excellence team within the Chief Medical Officeon defined cross Senior Executive Team  steering committees and projects
  • Input positively into Therapy Area  peer reviews as to ensure strategies are in place to optimize European regulatory success and market access
  • Mentor and coach of TA European Regulatory Staff upon request.
  • Facilitation of European regulatory knowledge sharing with key stakeholders and customers
  • Be a great partner with the regional Health Authorities, EMA and National European Agencies
  • Provide consultation and strategic support for HA meetings including Oral Hearings for projects/products in portfolio, where requested
  • Provide support to Marketing Company Regulatory Teams in Europe on policy topics.

Key Skills Required:

  • Experienced Regulatory Professional with degree in a scientific discipline, typically pharmacy or a biological science.
  • Relevant experience in the drug development regulatory environment and in the regulatory policy area
  • A comprehensive understanding of regulatory procedures and requirements, in the EU Region
  • Demonstrated ability of proactively shaping of the future regulatory framework in EU through active membership on professional societies or trade organizations.
