Our Position
Reporting to the Head of Innovative Value & Access Strategy, the Senior Manager of Market Access Strategy (SMAS) is accountable for developing and executing Market Access Strategy to ensure patients gain access to our life changing medicines through public and private reimbursement systems.
Lead the development and delivery of market access strategy, including pre-launch planning, portfolio assessment and CADTH, INESSS, Provincial and Private Payer submissions
Oversee cross-functional development and execution of payer solutions and evidence generation to support reimbursement objectives
Collaborate with external stakeholders & reimbursement experts to ensure that AstraZeneca Canada market access initiatives are relevant and support the needs of patients, health care providers and payers
In collaboration with Payer Relations and Pricing, support the development of pCPA negotiation strategies for priority files
Operate as a key member of the Brand Team:
Be a role model for cross-functional working to ensure TA area objectives are met
Be an enterprise thinker who can share the voice of Market Access and the Payer and understand the brand objectives so that win-win solutions are created.
Cultivate partnerships with the Global Organization to understand and support the Market Access needs of the business
Responsible for collecting and reporting Adverse Events in accordance with AstraZeneca policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
Bachelors’ degree science, social sciences or business
5-7 years of Pharmaceutical experience
Experience leading projects that involve cross functional collaboration
Experience constructing payer value stories and incorporating these into strategies and submissions
Network of external Payer/KOL contacts highly desirable
In-depth knowledge of CADTH, INESSS and pCPA processes
Skills and Capabilities
Strategically agile with strong business acumen and can synthesize information from diverse sources to formulate strategies and actions
Energized by working with ambiguity and complexity
Ability to think creatively in developing and implementing business solutions
Strong communication skills: interpersonal, writing and presentation
Adaptive style with ability to influence and build relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
High degree of initiative and sense of urgency with an ability to manage multiple priorities of significant scope in a fast-paced environment
