Productivity Initiatives (PI) is an AstraZeneca function operating under the Group Finance. Its main aim is to embed a “smarter” spending culture and achieve significant and sustainable benefits for such benefits to be reinvested in our strategic priorities and support sustainable growth. PI uses data and analytics to explore and identify new opportunities across AstraZeneca.
This role will play an integral role throughout the PI process by using internal and external data to generate data driven insights and validate any productivity opportunities that can be acted upon. This candidate will be working with PI leadership and multiple stakeholders to perform an in-depth analysis of data to allow them to make data-driven decisions. A successful candidate will have or be able to quickly develop analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
Possesses strong technical skills in analysing different forms of data set, recognise trends and patterns by using a variety of variables to model different scenarios and clearly present findings and impacts to drive decision making.
Excellent data storyteller who can influence and support Business Partners and stakeholders with the goal of building and validating a comprehensive data set and assumptions that will support decision making.
Supports Business Partners in stakeholder and third-party management by challenging ideas, promoting constructive discussions and harmonising conflicting views to drive positive outcomes.
Design, monitor performance and report ongoing and ad hoc metrics in reports, presentations, and dashboards that are of value and interprets them to the stakeholders.
Bachelor’s degree in any field with at least 5 years’ relevant experience in analytics.
Proficiency in databases and data pulling tools (SQL), working knowledge of programming languages (Python/R) or data visualisation software will be an added advantage.
Strong analytical ability and a good sense of business acumen.
