TITLE: SAP Manufacturing Solution Engineer (Wilmington, DE, 40 hours/week)
DUTIES: Responsible for proactively working with business users to define requirements and architect
system enhancements to be delivered. Work with business users to resolve any SAP Supply
Chain, Manufacturing and Quality (SCMQ) issues reported by business users. Responsible for
reviewing solutions designed by team members and proposing improvements. Responsible for
completing all tasks assigned by team lead and project managers. Accountable for functional
modules and their processes. Coordinate IT projects for locations within the framework of
global rollout projects, through elaboration, execution and controlling in order to assist with
specific demands of the site. Implement application systems within the framework of templates
owners, seeking process optimization, through areas which require analysis. Study alternative
standard solutions, material and technical resources to be used. Deliver projects as a Delivery
Manager and Technical Lead. Guide and support site application activities, seeking
improvements and standardization of processes of the business. Support business process for
manufacturing sites across America. Design 3PL EDI interfaces with SAP, GI, GR, and
inventory balances. Deploy global templates to interface Supply Planning and manufacturing
REQUIREMENTS: Must possess a Bachelor’s degree or a foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field, plus five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered, as an IT Consultant or a related position. Must have five (5) years of progressively responsible experience with: Configuration and maintenance of SAP systems including Production Planning (PP), Production Planning – Process Industries (PP-PI), Inventory Management, Warehouse Management and Plant Maintenance; Process Instructions Sheets; ABAP Development and Debugging; Third Party Logistics Integration (Electronic Data Interchange) and Electronic Invoicing; Solution Manager Release, Change, Incident and Document Management; Integration of SAP modules in end-to-end business processes, including product costing, financials, procurement and sales and distribution; Manufacturing Execution Systems and Electronic Branch Record (EBR); Application life cycle development; Delivering small and medium size projects using project delivery methodologies; Manufacturing Practices including GXP; Financial Compliance and Security Controls including Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX), Code of Principles and Best Practices Corporate Governance (Mexico); and Incident Management and Problem Management processes. 5-10 % travel required to various company office locations domestically and internationally. All travel expenses to be paid by employer pursuant to internal policy.
