BBU Commercial Manager / Sales Manager

Location: Riga, Latvia

What you’ll do:

Sales / Commercial Manager is responsible for implementing brand strategy in line with core business and leadership plans.

In this role you will be responsible for brand strategies implementation and results driving aligned to the Core Business Strategy. As a Team Leader your role will see you leading, coaching and developing the Latvia BBU Sales Team. You are also expected to contribute and represent to local BBU implementation team (LIT).

Other responsibilities will include:

  • Analyze the development and trends in across your areas and consult LIT on Strategic Planning
  • Be updated on the developments in healthcare and policy change – both on a regional and national level.
  • Guide and deliver KAM / SAM account management plans in line with their respective Therapeutic Areas / Brand Objectives
  • Contribute to brand implementation teams with tactical/operational plans across regions
  • Collaborate with colleagues in cross - functional / cross-country setting in implementing innovative sales strategies
  • Secure that market intelligence and customer insights are brought into the brand teams and built on X-functional  business strategies
  • Driving Key customers and external partnerships engagement  
  • Identify new Business opportunities across stakeholders, drive partner engagements and assess value adding strategies implementation aligned to local Healthcare / Payer strategies
  • Coaching team on sales skills, have an eye for business, planning and execution of sales activities
  • Mentoring based on employee individual development needs. Focus on building successor roles and recognizing future talents.
  • Support and lead Brand plans and processes
  • Drive  Market insights and Brand imperatives
  • A&P and investment decisions aligned to opportunities

Crucial for the role

  • Academic degree or equivalent, commercial or healthcare background
  • Proven leadership skills – be able to lead in change
  • Relevant experience with proven sales results
  • Ability and willingness to travel within the region and broader according to project needs
  • Being trusted, live the AZ values and enforce to Code and Policies
  • Possesses detailed knowledge of the Pharma industry, AstraZeneca, specific TA´s medical products
  • Has a good understanding of the ethical code and compliance requirements
  • Excellent interpersonal capabilities in building long-lasting relationships and networks
  • Possesses a good business sense/strategic mentality
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Proactive and solution oriented with regards to individual and team challenges
  • Active driving license
  • Proficient in English and Latvian language
